Information

Hours of operation. I usually work up to 6 days a week from 10am to 7pm with a 1 hour lunch break. I prefer Sundays to be my day off and I don’t really like working overnight. Also because of my musical activities I may not available for weekends (that includes Friday, Saturday and of course Sunday) so I like to collaborate with other engineers in case I may not be at the studio on those days.

Expenses. Items including but not limited to equipment rental, heads, sticks, picks, strings, hard drives, additional disc burns, session archival, food, beverage, shipping, travel costs & hotel accommodations are considered an expense & are NOT included in the quoted price.

Data storage. Bands are encouraged to purchase a firewire hard drive to store your session data at the completion of the project. I highly recommend a firewire 800 external hard drives. They are very reliable & perfectly suited for audio recording. If you are only recording a song or two, a more affordable option is to have me burn dvd-r archives of your project at 5€ per disc. Approx. 1-3 songs can fit on a single dvd-r.

Travelling. I have on occasion travelled to the band’s location to work & my fee is typically the same plus travel, hotel & per diem. Please ask in your initial email if this is something you’re interested in.

Preparation. Many of the likely pitfalls in recording can very easily be avoided if careful preparation is made. Most of the bands I’ve worked with, play following their instincts and too often forget or underestimate their technical flaws which makes my work harder in the making of records. I’ll be posting soon advices as soon as possible for all the ones who are willing to come working with me.
