I’m a reader, I’m a blogger
For those who know a little or nothing about my life I’m a kinda of lunatic real books fan/reader: I may live for several months without touching a single page or spend an entire night reading a whole book or even pass months in reading different ones, switching from one to another just like you do with the Tv programs.
Actually I’m definitely back in love with Nick Hornby, the author of Hi-Fi (one of my fave books / movies ever) has astonished me with another master piece called “Julied, Naked” (“Tutta Un’Altra Musica” in Italian – “All Another Kind Of Music” litterally translated). This book is about a couple (of course!) whose guy named Duncan is in crazy maniac love with this ex 80′s fallen songwriter called Tyler Crowe. As usual Hornby is able to turn the characters’ feelings out pretty well showing each one’s best flaws and controversies. The story evolves incredibly fast and keeps its easiness and freshness while reading. Surprises do not miss and some of the most intimate thoughts coming from the plot are so much real that I challenge everyone else out there at proving me they are unknown in our everyday life.
I’m definitely curious to know how can the author impress his reader in the original language though, but the translated version of the book is pretty much amazing and cool to me: this makes me suppose every international release should be loyal to its original work.
For all of you music-love geeks like me this is a must you can’t hide yourself from for too long.
